MIT SRP SUPPORTS CITIZEN SCIENCE IN COLLABORATION WITH NATIVE AMERICANS IN MAINE

COEEC has worked in collaboration with the MIT Superfund Research Program to evaluate toxic metals in drinking water in Eastport, Maine. This program included a citizen science project involving two MIT graduate students and residents of the community, with local coordination provided by the Sipavik Environmental Department of the Pleasant Point Band of the Passamaquoddy Tribe. Please see our interim report on this exciting engagement program.
